Gentle Outdoor Yoga – Saturdays through November 6, 2010 – 10 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Experience Gentle Yoga along the water’s edge every Saturday now through November 6, 2010 on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Gentle Yoga replenishes the body and soul while improving muscle tone, flexibility, strength, stamina and helps to reduce stress and tension.
The cost is $5 per person and mats are provided upon request.
Doga – Yoga for Dogs – First Saturday of the Month starting May 1 through November 6, 2010 – 10:30 a.m.
Man’s best friend is joined with their owners for Doga held every month on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn. A popular craze taught in Los Angeles and New York, the classes function similar to a regular yoga class and focus on gentle stretches, breathing and massage. The cost is $5 per class.
Ventura Suburban Kiwanis Health Fair – Saturday, April 24, 2010– 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ventura Suburban Kiwanis Health Fair provides fun and informative booths promoting health and well being for all ages. Proceeds benefit the pediatric ward at Ventura Community Memorial Hospital. Admission is free.
Memorial Day Weekend Happenings: Get in the Groove of Summertime- Saturday and Sunday May 29-30, 2010 Get your groove on with the Memorial Day Weekend live music performances by Drums of Fire, and local band favorites Grooveheads and Groove Pilots throughout the holiday weekend. Weekend features the Larry Dudley Yacht Sales Summer Kick-Off Mini Boat Show on the docks from 9a.m. – 5p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
Summer Sunday Concert Series – Sundays – June 27, 2010 through September 5, 2010 –
1 to 4 p.m.
Soak up the sun while listening to an array of music ranging from jazz & soul to pop & rock to a blend of Carribean and Reggae during the Sunday Summer Concert Series every Sunday from
1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Harbor Lights Summer Sprint Series –Thursdays, July 1, 2010 through August 5, 2010 – 5 to 8 p.m.
Shape up and have fun during the 5K Run/Walk- Aquathon- ½ mile swim. Event includes the whole family with a Children’s 1K. Produced by N’Step Events, the Sprint Series is six fun-filled nights of running, walking, swimming, dining and unwinding. Evenings include live entertainment, a kid’s zone, nightly raffles, and healthy lifestyle expo. Registration available online at www.nstepevents.com or at the event.
Ventura Harbor Pirate Days – Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18, 2010 – 1 to 4 p.m.
Return to the mystical times when the pirates roamed the seas during the Annual Ventura Harbor Pirate Days Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18 from 1 to
4 p.m. The event features professional pirate live-action shows, pirate themed activities, kid’s treasure hunts, pirate costume contests, visits with your favorite pirate characters, and much more. Admission is free.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Ventura County 5K Walk – Saturday, August 21, 2010 – 8 a.m. to 12 Noon Join the community to raise awareness and dollars to fight against breast cancer during the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Ventura County, Saturday, August 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Chiefs Along the Channel Car Show – Sunday, August 29, 2010 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motors will gleam and sleek cars will sparkle in Ventura Harbor on Sunday, August 29. Vintage, classics and more modern versions of Buicks, Oldsmobile, Pontiacs and GMC pickups will be displayed on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn for the viewing pleasure of car enthusiasts. Other highlights include live music with John Marx and Blues Patrol, raffle prizes, and an awards ceremony. Admission is free.
Rock on the Dock – Saturdays, September 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2010 – 4 p.m. until Dusk Get ready to rock it out during Rock on the Dock Live Music Series taking place on every Saturday during the month of September. The event, held along the Ventura Harbor Village Promenade, features live bands on a floating boat dock. Patrons can bring a chair, dance along the promenade, rent a peddle boat or kayak to take bask in the water, stroll throughout the sea-side boutiques or dine in one of the harbor-view restaurants. Admission is free.
Austin Bantam Car Show – Saturday, September 25, 2010 – 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A collection of English cars will take center stage on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn Saturday, September 25 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The car show features pre-war Austin’s for the public to view. Admission is free.
Ponies by the Sea Mustang Car Show – Sunday, October 10, 2010 – 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Mustangs in all styles and eras will be on display during the Poines by the Sea Mustang Car Show, Sunday, October 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hosted by the Tri-County Mustang Club, the event will also feature raffle prizes and an awards ceremony. Admission is free.
Kinetic Sculpture Race – Saturday, October 23, 2010 – 8:23 a.m. to 4 p.m.
(Benefitting the Turning Point Foundation) Some of the most amazing people-powered and hilarious works of art designed to travel over an exciting all-terrain course will race through Ventura Harbor, Saturday, October 23 from 8:23 a.m. to 4 p.m. The creative vehicles will trek through such challenges as a harbor water launch, sand mounds, figure 8 race track and huge mud pit before making it to the finish line. Ventura Harbor Holiday Parade of Lights & Fireworks – Friday and Saturday, December 17-18, 2010 Ventura Harbor celebrates the season with its Annual Holiday Parade of Lights & Fireworks on Friday, December 17 and Saturday, December 18. The two-day fun filled event begins with a festive Parade of Lights Carnival featuring rides and games on the Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn followed by the lighted boat parade & fireworks show in the evening.
The Holiday Parade of Light’s 2010 theme is “Holidays in Whoville!”
Admission is free.
Ventura Harbor’s Winter Wonderland & Carnival, Sunday, December 19, 2010 – Noon to 4 p.m.
Rediscover the joy of holiday shopping while wondering through a festive seaside village at the popular Ventura Harbor’s Winter Wonderland & Carnival held Sunday, December 19 from Noon to 4 p.m. Highlights include faux snowfall every 15 minutes, a full carnival with rides and games, visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus, two live reindeer, fudge tastings, Dickenson carolers, a strolling toy soldier band, ice sculpting demonstrations and much more.
