The Santa Paula Art Museum is excited to announce its preparation for a retrospective featuring Santa Paula’s own Mr. Sycamore, Douglas Shively. It is to open in February, 2012. Douglas was a well known and loved artist who lived and worked here in Santa Paula. We are seeking paintings from the entire span of his artistic career. “We are interested not only in the paintings but stories that might go along with them”, said Jennifer Heighton, Executive Director.
