Long time resident of Bardsdale, Bernice Othea Lander has passed away in Reno, Nevada, on January 25,2009
Bernice was born and raised on the family citrus ranch in Bardsdale. She graduated from Fillmore High School in 1938. In January of 1942 she married Bob Lander, they continued to live on the ranch until the time of his passing in 2004. Bernice moved to Fallon, Nevada with her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Will Smith until the time of her passing after a short illness.
Bernice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Donna Lander of Orangevale, CA.; grandsons Mark and Lisa Lander of Virginia; Todd and Heather Lander of Texas; great-grandchildren Colten Lander and Markelle Lander; sister Aletha Courtice of San Gabriel.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother Harold LeBard; husband Bob Lander.
Graveside services will be held at 10:A M on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Bardsdale Cemetery.
