Carol Barker, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Cleburne, Texas. Funeral Mass to be held at 10am at St. Jude’s the Apostle located at 32032 Lindero Canyon Rd. Westlake Village, Ca. 91361. Interment will follow at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin located at 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd., Westlake Village, CA 91362. Following the graveside there will be Wake/Celebration of life at St. Jude’s Parish Hall.
Carol was born on February 21, 1937, in White Plains, New York to William and Mildred Hovey. Carol married Robert Francis Barker at St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church on April 14, 1958. Later moving to Thousand Oaks in 1960. After being the 1972 Thousand Oaks Grand Marshal they then moved to Fillmore, where she kept active in her children’s 4H and FFA groups. Carol and Bob were business owners of the Fillmore Feed Store for a time in the 1980s. She also had been a Real Estate agent in Fillmore for years.
Carol engaged in breeding and showing Arabian horses from the 1970s until her passing. Carol also enjoyed traveling, playing the slot machines and cards.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband: Robert F. Barker.
Carol is survived by her children: Brett Barker and wife Patricia; Craig Barker; Cheryl Barker; Kevin Barker and wife Julie; Scott Barker; Cathy Barker-Seeton; Robert Barker Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 12 Great grandchildren; sister in law: Nancy Hovey.
