Passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024.
Born on October 22, 1943 to Gomecindo Cruz and Jesus Cruz. She was born and raised in Hayden Arizona and graduated from Hayden High School in 1961.
In 1967, she moved to California met and married Jesse Ordaz on October 21, 1967.
She is survived by her husband Jesse and their 3 daughter’s Maggie (Ann), Rachel, and Pauline Ordaz. 3 grandchildren Bernadette Alamillo (Peter) Amanda Alamillo McMahan (Tyler) Anthony Alamillo (Alex) 3 great grandchildren
Avery, Noah and Nicholas. Also, by her sister Rosie, Anacleto and George. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parent’s, siblings Manuel, Edward, Tomas, Carmen, Ramon and Josephina. She worked over 30 years with Fillmore Unified School District and dedicated 40 year’s teaching catechism for San Salvador Mission.
She spent the past 6 years living with dementia, we are so grateful to Maggie, Pauline, Anthony and our Dad/Tati for their dedication to taking care of mom and keeping her home during her illness.
Thank you to our Cousin/Sister Isabel Gonzalez for always being our support and helping us get through this difficult time. Also, thank you to Bella Rose Hospice for assisting us to keeping mom at home.
Dementia took her memory, but for those she left behind a lasting memory in all of us to get through life without her here on earth.
Rosary and Mass on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at San Salvador Mission and graveside service immediately following.
