The Fillmore Church of Christ is pleased to offer a video series “Does God Exist?,” presented by John Clayton, a geologist and former atheist, at 219 Mountain View Street at Highway 126, beginning March 3, at 7PM. The public is cordially invited to this free series of videos, being shown each week at 7 PM, followed by a question and answer session. The purpose of the program is to provide thinking, seeking people with scientific evidence that God does exist and that the Bible is His Word. Lesson titles the month of March are: March 3rd, “Why I Left Atheism,” March 10th, “The Cosmos: A Logical Proof of God’s Existence,” March 17th, “The Cause of the Cosmos,” and March 24th, “God, Man, and Caveman,” and March 31st, “Jurassic Park and Genesis 17.” Other lessons in April and May include, “The Flood,” “The Age of Things,” “Fossils and Genesis 20,” “Evolution’s Proof of God”, “Issues of Biological Evolution” and others, ending on May 26th.

Clayton hold moster’s degrees in education and geology from Indiana University and Notre Dame University. He was awarded “Teacher of the Year Award” in 1972, and in 1985 was selected the Distinguished Physics Teacher for the State of Indiana by the American Association of Physics Teachers.
