Fillmore Christian Academy sent 8 students to the ACSI district spelling bee held on January 15 at Cornerstone Christian School in Camarillo. There they competed with 13 other schools from both Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. We had one representative for each grade level from 1st grade through 8th grade. Those representing the school were as follows: 1st grade Sasha Adame, 2nd grade Corey Ballard, 3rd grade Noah Laber, 4th grade Joshua Sandoval, 5th grade Sarah Stewart, 6th grade Bailey Huerta, 7th grade Cece Flinn, 8th grade Jessica Mayhew. Three of our students received third place in their grade level – Sasha Adame, Noah Laber and Bailey Huerta.
