The Saint Francis of Assisi Fall Fiesta took place on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Catholic Church located at 1048 W. Ventura St., Fillmore. The popular fundraising event drew a large crowd which enjoyed the tacos, enchiladas and pasta available under the canopies. Blessing of the Animals attracted all sizes of dogs, caged birds and a large parrot, a bunny, a horse and a llama. Right, Sophia, age 7, brought Lucy her baby Chihuahua to be blessed. A Silent Auction with about 50 baskets ranging from baby items and home-crocheted blankets, to wine, goat soap and gardening were presented. Folklorico and Hula Dancers entertained the crowd, along with a Jolly-Jump and goldfish game for the little ones, and bake sale full of goodies for everyone. Photos couresty Katrionna Furness.
