Fr. Artur is back from his sabatical. Welcome Back ! Fr Salvador who was substituting for Fr Artur has moved to Santa Maria. to minister to their growing community. Our socials are great opportunities to catch up on visits with old friends or make a new friend this new year. SMILE ! Please don’t forget to send in your together in Mission envelope for January. This will end our commitment for the year and allow many Parishes and schools in our archdiocese keep their doors open for service and ministry. Free Catholic Calendars and Boxes of Offering Envelopes for the Year are available in the hall before and after Mass. If you would like to begin using offering envelopes, please pick up an un marked box. Thank you and God Bless YOU ! We welcome Fr Roberto Perez from Cross international who will be with us next weekend January 14 and 15. Cross international is a Christian formed mission that helps the poor throughout the world. Fr Roberto will speak to us about Christ’s love for the poor and his personal experiences. Let us offer a warm welcome to Fr Roberto as he brings us a new opportunity to help our poor brothers and sisters. First Communion and Confirmation Classes for youth over 15 and also for adults Fr Barney will teach this class for any youth aged 15 and for any adults who have not received First communion or confirmation. Please See Fr Barney to register. Bring him your baptism certificate and $20 for the Class. First communion and confirmation will be in May. If you have any questions, please see Fr Barney. The St. Vincent De Paul thrift shop in Oxnard is in need of usable items for their store. They are asking for our help. On Sunday, January 22 their truck will be in St. Francis of Assisi's parking lot from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. They need Adult and Children’s clothing, toys, working appliances, furniture and other household items. PLEASE DO NOT leave your donations BEFORE 8AM or AFTER 2:00 PM. The Saint Francis of Assisi Food Bank Program, Operated by the St. Vincent De Paul Society, of Saint Francis needs volunteers to help pick up food at "Food Share" on Monday mornings and bring it back to the parish hall. The food program is now serving 170-180 Fillmore families each week and that takes a lot of food. If you are willing to help please call for details.
