Fillmore High Alumni Association

The February issue of the alumni newsletter, "Flashbacks" was put in the mail last Friday, so all of you subscribers should have received your copy by now. If not, please contact the alumni office at 524-0416 or staff@fillmorehighalumni.com. Also, if you have changed your mailing address, please let us know so we can keep up to date on our mailing list.

Class reunions for this year are taking shape with six classes sending in information regarding their class gatherings. The class of 1945 will meet for a lunch at IHOP in Fillmore on Saturday, June 12, starting at 11:00 a.m. Contact Natalie Harthorn Milota at 805-641-4283 or at nharthornm@hotmail.com for more information or to make a reservation for the lunch. Reservations for the alumni dinner should be made directly to the alumni office. The class of 1950, under the guidance of Lavonne Deeter is planning a get-together prior to the alumni dinner on June 12. More information will be sent out as more plans are firmed up. The class of 1960 is having their 50 year reunion on Friday, June 11. For more information, contact Margaret Graham Blankenship at 805-525-2790 or at missmae@roadrunnr.com. Linda Durand and her committee are planning a reunion for the class of 1965 on Friday, June 11 at Larry Stewart's home. You can contact LInda for more information. David Morales informed the alumni office that they are still in the planning stage for their reunion for the class of 1970, but they definitely will have one this year. More information will be released as it is received. Fernando Cervantez, class of 1990 has a group planning their 20th reunion for this year.

Janice Krska Hawley, class of 1980, has written the alumni requesting help in obtaining class photos and annuals that were lost in a flood. The alumni does not have any extra annuals to send to Janice, but she is asking for help in locating any annuals from 1975 through 1980. Also, she would like to get any pictures from her grammar school years that people might have from which she can make copies. She would like pictures from 1968 Kindergarten with Mrs. Brothers, 1969 First Grade with Ms. Setzer, 1970 Second Grade with Mrs. Kern, 1971 with Mrs. Gibby, 1972 Fourth Grade with Mrs. Graham, 1973 Fifth Grade with Mr. Schmittou and 1974 Sixth Grade with Mr. Ospenson. Janice will greatly appreciate any help you can give her on this request.

The Fillmore Performing Arts group is looking for pictures from any of the stage productions that have been put on by the different theatrical groups in Fillmore, as they want to prepare a display in the Fillmore Historical Museum on the performing arts.
