The Downtown Rehabilitation Grant Program, approved by City Council from American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds on June 14, 2022, will soon end. On August 8, 2023, the City Council voted unanimously to approve the sunsetting of this program effective September 8, 2023. Downtown businesses are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this grant. Funding will be available on a “first come, first serve basis” and allocated if funds are available. Businesses who have received a Notice to Proceed (NTP) must complete their projects within 60-days from today or by October 9, 2023. If the application is approved, new applicants will have a 60-day deadline to complete projects from the approval date.
