Ag Pass Update
As a reminder, the purpose of the Ventura County Agricultural Employee ID Card (Ag Pass) is to identify farm and ranch employees to firefighting personnel, California Highway Patrol officers, sheriff's deputies and other emergency workers assigned to restrict public access to areas threatened by fires and other disasters.

The cards do not necessarily mean workers will be able to enter property if there is imminent danger. Front-line emergency personnel are empowered to use discretion when it comes to protecting emergency crews from unnecessary exposure to risk - which can happen if civilians enter dangerous zones and then require rescue or protection - and minimizing harm to members of the public.

In those cases when the boundaries of the closure area include agricultural land not deemed at imminent risk, however, the cards should allow employees access to agricultural property.

Ways in which you can obtain Ag Passes for yourself and your employees:
Visit our website at www.cvcfiresafe.org and download a Request Form. After completing and signing the form, you can either email it along with a photo in .jpg format to info@cvcfiresafe.org, or mail it via USPS to:
