SANTA PAULA, CA. – A Ventura County tradition continues with the Santa Paula Rotary Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival at Faulkner Farm at the University of California Hansen Agricultural Center. Building memories and providing unforgettable oldfashioned family fun has been a long-standing tradition. Enjoy great autumn weekends with acres of bright orange pumpkins, a giant broom corn forest for the kids, towering hay pyramids, hayrides with historic information about the area, farm animals, pony rides, mini train rides, pumpkin chucker, face painting, a country store, delicious food and great entertainment. Fun for all! Find your pumpkins while enjoying the festive sounds from great area bands and choral groups in this beautiful setting among the orchards and historic barns. Delicious treats will make sure you don’t go away hungry. Mouthwatering tri-tip, country chicken sandwiches, kettle corn, fish tacos, nachos, whole pies and slices, yummy cookies and other great baked goods, delicious ice cream, refreshing lemonade, soft drinks and fresh brewed coffee. Be sure to stop at the Farmer’s Market and take home some local produce, salsa or honey. The Santa Paula Rotary Club is operating these family fun filled October weekends. Faulkner Farm is located about 1 mile west of Santa Paula, at the intersection of Briggs Road and West Telegraph Road. Exit the 126 freeway at Briggs and head north one quarter mile on Briggs Road. The City of Santa Paula is located off the 126 freeway in the beautiful Santa Clara River Valley and is the “Citrus Capital of the World.” With a population of 30,000, the town is home to numerous historical sites and unique locations including the California Oil Museum, the Santa Paula Train Depot and Railroad Plaza Park, the famous Santa Paula murals and the historic Santa Paula Airport.
