Gary Cushing is chair of the Planning Commission, Boys and Girl Club Board of Santa Clara Valley, Board of Directors for Vista Real Charter High School, and Miracle League of 805 (built a baseball field in Camarillo for the disabled). He, and his wife Julie, who is an operating nurse at CMH, have eight children and 16 grandchildren. They have lived in Fillmore for almost five years.
