Lion’s Club District 4-A3 District Governor Tony Manuel of Santa Maria made his annual visit to the Fillmore Lion’s Club on Monday, October 1. After his inspirational remarks to the club gathering, Fillmore Lion’s President Walter presented Manuel with a special clock on behalf of the club. The clock features Manuel’s insignia for this year, including a Tasmanian Devil. There were members of other area clubs also on hand for the dinner and presentation by Manuel. As Manuel said in a recent District Newsletter, My theme this year is, “We are the Gems of our Community” and by working together we will shine and sparkle and stand out from the other organizations, so we will be better recognized and appreciated in our communities.
