Name The Bus Contest for New Transit Service Announced

Ventura, CA. – Residents of the Santa Clara River Valley communities of Fillmore, Piru, and Santa Paula are invited to name their new local bus service. Beginning Friday, September 12, residents may begin submitting entries to name the new transit service in Fillmore, Piru, and Santa Paula. Entries should reflect the spirit, culture, history, and landmarks found throughout the Santa Clara River Valley. The winning entry will receive a $100 VISA gift card as well as a monthly pass for the new transit service. The winning service name will appear on the new vehicles when the transit service launches in January 2015. Visit www.NameTheBusContest.com for online entry submittal and downloadable entry forms in English and Spanish as well as complete contest rules. Entry forms may also be picked up at Fillmore and Santa Paula city halls; Fillmore, Piru, and Santa Paula libraries; and at the Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) office. All entries must be submitted online, hand-delivered to the VCTC office, or postmarked by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26. Submit paper entry forms to the address provided below.
