Scholarship Opportunity, a Year of Excitement & Community Service

The 2011 Miss & Teen Los Angeles County USA® Pageant is now accepting applications. Toay Productions has been providing young women with the opportunity to be the ambassador for the county of Los Angeles & Ventura County for over 10 years and awarded over 500,000 in cash, scholarship and prizes. The Teen & Miss titleholders will be awarded over $20,000 in entry fee/scholarship, photo shoot with KSSP photography, website designed, jewelry, tanning, make-up, exclusive gowns by California & Main and many other wonderful gifts. These sponsors have helped to ensure that the new titleholder receives their scholarship or entry fee to the next state pageant.

This year’s pageant is geared toward giving young women a choice to compete at a state pageant or receive a $500.00 cash scholarship. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, never married or pregnant. Participants must be a resident of California for the past six months. Applicants attending college out of state may enter if their primary residents is in California. All participants will be taught communication skills, interview techniques, walking with confidence and grace and the importance of character. This year’s pageant is dedicated to increasing the awareness of early detection of Cancer, foster-care children and sickle-cell awareness. Toay Foster-Ortiz, Executive Director & President of Toay Productions goal is to makes sure that this event portrays these young women as positive role models, career and education focused humanitarians.

The sign-up date for the pageant is, September 18 & 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at The Talent Lab – 2281 Townsgate Rd. Westlake Village, CA. The pageant is thrilled to name the city of Calabasas as the location where the pageant will be held. October 3, 2010, at 6:00 pm the pageant will take place and crown two new lovely accomplished ladies at Calabasas High School.

The event will be filled with young women expressing the importance of community service, obtaining higher education and accomplishing their career goals. The reigning Miss Regional California Teen Greer Grammer, USC student and Miss Regional California USA Natasha Martinez, California State University of Fullerton student will be opening the show with a dance performance. Cierra Jackson, Miss Greater Ventura County & Kylie Hardy, Miss Greater Ventura County Teen will effectively communicate the importance of dedicating time to a charitable cause and what organizations they have been involved with this past year.

These young women have set a goal of being the official county representatives for all local community events. Their goal is to log over a thousand hours of community service by speaking at schools, attending chamber events, sickle-cell, foster-care and cancer research activities and helping young women to be effective communicators and successful contributors to society.

The Miss & Teen Los Angeles County USA® Pageants is an official preliminary pageant to Miss California USA® or you may obtain an educational scholarship worth $500.00 it is open to Teen applicants ranging from ages 14 to 17 and Miss applicants 17-25. This opportunity has led many local titleholders to pursue their education goals, modeling and acting opportunities.

The pageant will be on October 3, 2010 and held at the Calabasas High School Auditorium, 22855 W. Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas, CA. Tickets will be available at the door for $20 the night of the competition. This pageant encourages young women that would like to make a positive impact in their community, and to be motivated to achieve their educational and career goals.
