At the April Luncheon Meeting Susan Jolley a teacher of Independent Study at Sierra Vista School thanked the club for generous gift. With the money she received she bought 55 art books for her class of 57 students. Ms Jolley talked about the type of students she teaches from paroles, slow learners, drop outs and gifted students. These students report to her for 1 hour per week to turn in assignments and get their work for the next week. She is very excited about the progress her students are making and brought examples of their work to share. Ms. Jolley has over 30 years experience teaching in the Fillmore Unified School system. The club is very happy to help enrich the lives of the young in Fillmore.
