Tony and Ruth Prado, of 542 Stonehenge, Fillmore, were awarded Yard of the Month for May 2009. The Prado’s front yard is beautifully shaded by three large white birch trees. One side of the yard is bordered with a row of bright orange roses. The plantings include calla lilies and a variety of brightly colored bedding flowers. There is also a blossoming torch-lily in the sidewalk planter. The Yard of the Month award is issued by Civic Pride 2020 and includes a donated Otto and Sons $25 gift certificate.
