Donald Edward Barlow (July 1930 – December 2024) & Sarah Marie Barlow (August 1934 – April 2024)

It is with great sadness that both our parents passed away in 2024. Our mother Sarah (Bunny) Marie Barlow born 8/18/1934 passed away on 4/19/2024. Our father Donald Edward Barlow born 7/23/1930 passed away on 12/31/2024. Bunny graduated from Fillmore High School in 1953 and was also chosen as Miss Fillmore during her senior year. Her parents were John and Ruby Eaton. Bunny worked as a phone operator after graduating. She worked at several local businesses and owned Barlow‘s Gifts and Things that was located on Central Avenue. Don graduated from Coalinga High School in California in 1948 after graduating he went into the Air Force. His parents Willis and Ruby Barlow moved from Coalinga and bought a ranch in Bardsdale. Upon returning from the Air Force, he married Bunny and they built a home next to his parents in Bardsdale where they raised their four children. Don was a mechanic where he worked at numerous places and also owned the Texaco station and Don’s Automotive located on Central and Hwy 126. He then worked at Ameron in Fillmore where he retired from. His racing career started at an early age where he raced many local circle tracks like Saugus and Ventura. He later started racing off-road where he won many high-stake races. He and his son Steve raced off-road together until he retired from racing and his son Steve continued on racing off-road for years after. All his children on down inherited his love of racing but mostly the love of competing from racing, sports and horses. They moved from Bardsdale to Fillmore in 1975 and then moved to Arizona in 1995. Bunny passed away four days short of her and Don’s 70th wedding anniversary. They are survived by their four children Jaymee Halter/Mark, Lori Matthews/Mark, Kelly Macdonald/Buzz and Steve Barlow/Claire. They have 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Their final resting place is at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. They are Forever in our Hearts.
