Apparently just as Britain is vying to become the world capital of Sharia-compliant finance, so also it hopes to become the FGM capital of the world. FGM is justified in Islamic law:

Nonetheless, even though it is illegal in Britain, and as many as 66,000 girls have been subjected to this barbarity there, the British have never managed to prosecute anyone for it. But they have summoned the energy to bar opponents of this practice from entering the country.
