Evelyn Cecelia Hardison Richardson Davis, of Fillmore, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2010.
She was born to Elvira and Clifford Hardison, on December 10, 1921, and was raised on the family citrus ranch and Sanitary Dairy, west of Fillmore.
She attended Fillmore schools and graduated from Fillmore High School in 1939. She loved music and she and her sister Betty Jean performed in an accordion band.
Evelyn worked at several of the local citrus packing houses for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Russell Hardison, sisters Dorothy Nickerson and Betty Jean Burritt and son Clifford. She is survived by daughters Judy Kelley, Nancy Waldthausen, son Dick Richardson and wife, Martha, grandchildren, Robert and wife Sandra Kelley, Ron Kelley, Becky and husband Rick Hunt, Ana and husband Salvadore, Sonya and husband Kevin, Clifford Waldthausen, Amy Berger and husband Robert, and Mike Richardson and wife Heather, and 14 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Bardsdale Cemetery on Wednesday, March 10 at 10 am.
Any memorial donations may be made to the Fillmore Historical Museum.
