PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: February 7, 1795 - The 11th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified.
LUNCH: Chicken nuggets, oven fries, biscuit, fresh fruit.
ATHLETICS:
1. BOYS SOCCER - AWAY @ SANTA PAULA. JV & Varsity Games begin at 3:15PM. Team is excused from class at 1:45PM to depart
at 2PM.
2. GIRLS SOCCER - AWAY @ GRACE BRETHREN. VARSITY ONLY. Game begins at 2:30PM. Team is excused at 12:30PM to depart
at 12:45PM.
3. CONGRATULATIONS TO WRESTLERS - Marc Zavala, Kyle Castaneda, Johnathon Minero, Alex Rivera, Christian Conaway, Sammy
Orozco, Alexis Ramirez and Felicity Zavala all were individual Tri Valley League Champions! Christian Conaway was also awarded the
Upper Weight MVP! Way to go!
4. SOFTBALL - Practice resumes today after school beginning at 3:30PM.
5. Girls Basketball - Team and individual pictures has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 9 @ 3:30pm.
CLUBS:
1. Prayer Club will meet tomorrow at lunch in room 2. We welcome everyone!
2. MENTOR PROGRAM: No lunch meeting today. Sespe mentoring after school. Congratulations Raquel Aguilar &Isaiah Romero you are
"Mentors of the Week".
3. FHS Ambassador Club will meet Thursday at lunch in Room 61.
SENIORS:
1. OFF CAMPUS REMINDER – Please go over your Off Campus Contract. Your off-campus permit can be revoked for 8 weeks for 3 tardies
in one period and/or a truancy in any class!

• FILLMORE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION – applications are in the College and Career Center. They are to be returned to the alumni office by
3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25th.
• Soroptimist International of Fillmore, Imogene Vest Scholarship - students who have a 3.0 GPA or higher, able to demonstrate you are
actively working to make your community a better place, and attending a higher education institution in the fall of 2011 immediately following
graduation. Students must also be a student in the Fillmore Unified School District and be a U.S. citizens or permanent residents to apply.
Deadline is March 22nd. See Mrs. Larin for an application.

STUDENTS:
1. TUTORIAL INFORMATION: NEW tutorial assignments will be ready by BREAK and
posted on the Attendance Windows, by the Flag Pole in the Quad and on Rm. #58
windows. Please stop by to see where you will report to for tutorial today. If you are
not assigned to a tutorial class you must report to the gym to receive your sticker for
this period.
2. Winter Formal pictures are available for pick-up at the studio after school at the KSSP studio (330 Central Ave.).
3. Pennies for Patients fundraising drive – Bring your pennies (or any coins) to your 3rd period classroom. The class that raises the most
money will receive a BBQ lunch put on by the Sheriff and Fire departments
4. Need community service hours? Hearts from Home is an annual event sponsored by local radio stations and businesses to send Valentine
wishes to servicemen and women who are serving tours abroad. If you are interested in receiving community service hours for this worthy
cause see Mrs. Byrne (Rm. 52). The valentines must be delivered by Monday 2/7 so don’t delay.
5. Get your stories and poems together and enter the Soroptimist Writing Contest. 1st place receives $50, 2nd place $35, and 3rd place
$25. Please submit all writing entries to Mr. Bauer, Rm. 32, no later than Friday, Feb. 18. There will also be an awards dinner for the
winners. Good luck and good writing!
• Freshmen are selling VALENTINE BRACELETS - $1.00.
• ART CLUB will be selling VALENTINE GRAMS at break in the Art Room and in the quad at lunch. Buy them now and they will be
delivered on February 11th.
• AVID Club is selling Valentine’s Chocolate roses every day at lunch in the quad. It’s the perfect gift for that special someone! Roses
are 2 for $1, $3 for half dozen and $6 for a dozen. All roses will be delivered on Feb. 10th/11th to your first period class.
