ATHLETICS:
1. SOFTBALL – VARSITY ONLY - AWAY @ LA REINA. Game begins at 3:30PM. Team is excused from class at 1:00PM to depart at
1:15PM.
2. SWIMMING - AWAY @ VILLANOVA. Meet begins at 3:00PM. Team is excused from class at 12:45PM to depart at 1:00PM.
3. JV Girls Basketball team – bring your uniforms to the gym on Wednesday at lunch.
CLUBS:
1. Anime Club meeting Today (Monday) and on Thursday at lunch in the Art Room.
2. Art Club meeting Tuesday at lunch in the Art Room. Yearbook photo will be taken.
3. FHS UC Ambassadors – come to Rm. 61 at lunch on Tuesday for our yearbook picture. Wear your shirts!
SENIORS:
1. The registrar is out of the office until Thursday, 3/10. Seniors who need transcripts before that will need to see Mrs. Ashim.
2. The yearbook staff is creating a page called “Friends Then and Now” and would like your pictures. We are looking for pictures from past years
of you and your friends, as well as current pictures of the same people. Please bring them to Mrs. Casanave in room 38 (or room 54 during 6th
period), give them to Angie Gonzalez, or upload the pictures to our Facebook page. Thank you!

• Soroptimist International of Fillmore, Imogene Vest Scholarship - students who have a 3.0 GPA or higher, able to demonstrate you are
actively working to make your community a better place, and attending a higher education institution in the fall of 2011 immediately following
graduation. Deadline is March 22nd.
• Rotary Club of Fillmore Sun Risers - seniors who reside within Fillmore Unified School District. Deadline is April 1st.
• Rotary Club of Fillmore-Noontime - students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence, maintained a balance achievement in
academics, school activities, community activities, and personal goals. Deadline is April 1st.
• Piru Petroleum - all students. Deadline is April 1st.
• Fillmore Women’s Service Club - any graduating senior. You do not have to be a young lady to apply. Deadline is April 6th.
• San Jose State University - Silicon Valley Engineering Scholarship http://www.engr.sjsu.edu/students/scholarships/silicon-valley. Deadline is March 6th .
• National Association of State Directors of Migrant Education - http://www.nasdme.org/. Deadline is March 11th.
JUNIORS:
1. Juniors are selling Butter Braid! Find any junior if you would like to buy a delicious pastry! Juniors – for each one sold you will earn 1 Arch
Bearer point. The top seller will receive an extra 15 points; 2nd will get an extra 10 points; 3rd an extra 5 points. All money raised goes towards
our awesome prom.
STUDENTS:
1. SATURDAY SCHOOL – March 12th.
2. Prom info – all detentions and truancies must be made up BEFORE the prom.
3. The Arts Show is scheduled for April 12th. If you have artwork that you would like to exhibit in the show, please bring it/them to Ms. M (room
34) after Spring Break.
4. Reminder: The deadline for the Ventura County Fair poster contest is March 31st.
5. ASB will be hosting the first FHS TALENT SHOW in May. Auditions will be in April, so start preparing your performances. We will accept live
musical performances, magic tricks, lip-syncing, dance performances and more.
