PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: May 17, 1792 - The New York Stock Exchange was established when a group of 24 brokers and merchants met
by a tree on what is now Wall Street and signed the Buttonwood Agreement.
LUNCH: Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, buttermilk biscuit
ATHLETICS:
1. SOFTBALL - AWAY @ ST. LUCY’S - 1st CIF Round. Game begins at 3:15PM. Team is excused from class at 11:15AM to depart at
11:30PM.
2. BOYS BASKETBALL – Practice is Wednesday and Friday from 3:30-5:30PM.
3. GIRLS GOLF - Girls wishing to participate in Girls Golf, Mr. MacDonald will meet with you after school on Friday in the Student Store.
CLUBS:
1. Art Club meeting on Tuesday at lunch in room 34. Bring in signed permission slips for face painting and Museum trip.
2. MEChA invites new members to come and join the club! Current members: Elections for new officers will be held this Tuesday in Ms Juarez
classroom. Show up and support your nominees!
3. FHS Ambassadors will meet Tuesday at lunch in Room 61 to discuss the junior class recognition event. See you there!
4. Prayer Club will meet Tuesday at lunch in room 2. We welcome everyone!
5. MENTOR PROGRAM: Tue. Mtn. Vista mentoring after school - meet in Rm 17.
6. Flashes Go Green – San Cayetano Earth Days – Thursday and Friday. If you’re not in the club, but interested, please see Mr. Richter ASAP.
7. DEAD POETS CLUB – meeting Wednesday at lunch in the drama room. We will be electing officers for next year.
8. Anime Club meeting Thursday in room 34 at lunch
SENIORS:
1. SENIOR GIRLS – Mother/Daughter Banquet is THURSDAY, MAY 19TH – 6PM at the Memorial Building.
2. Grad Nite Live money – DUE NOW. Please take all money to Attractions Spa on Central Avenue ASAP. The Seniors that did not participate
in our fund raisers will have to pay $100 for their Harbor Boat Cruise and Bus ticket this year. There is still time to EARN your trip! Stop by
Attractions Spa to learn how – work at the festival, sell candy, etc.
3. Night School will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday as normal. The last week, it will be held on Monday, the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th.
ALL WORK MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN THE 24TH.
4. The PASS Program will be held on Saturday the 21st. ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE 21ST.

SOPHOMORES:
1. Like History? Are you a sophomore now? AP U.S. History may be the thing for you! Check it out – Come to a meeting Tuesday, 5/17
right after school in Mr. Andersen’s Rm. 62. See you there!
STUDENTS & STAFF:
1. Don’t forget this Wednesday is our MAKE-A-WISH WALK-A-THON! Any donations will be accepted! Face painting - $1, T-shirts - $13. Any
donation of $1 or more will get a bracelet. Celebrate with us by coming to the track and dressing up in blue and white! Help us raise $5,000 to
grant a wish!
2. ASB is sponsoring a Canned Food Drive. The 3rd period class with the most food will earn a pizza party! The event is
next week from May 16th – 19th.
3. Goodbye SENIOR rally – Friday, May 20th. Regular rally schedule
STUDENTS:
1. YEARBOOKS ARE HERE! Pick up yearbooks on Tuesday (5/17) and Wednesday (5/18) at lunch at the Attendance Office Windows.
MUST HAVE ID CARD! Autograph sections will be on sale for $1.

3. PEP SQUAD SIGN UPS – If you are interested in trying out for the 2011-2012 Pep Squad, please sign up at the clip board at Mrs. Lemons’

4. LIBRARY FINES – You can come in to clear up issues regarding your library account before school, at break, lunch or after school. Please do

documentation to the Health Office! . You MUST have a current booster in order to register for the 2011-2012 school-year.
