PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: January 12, 1991 - A divided Congress gave President Bush the go-ahead on the Persian Gulf War.
LUNCH: Beef dippers, rice, broccoli, fruit.
ATHLETICS:
1. BOYS BASKETBALL - AWAY @ SANTA CLARA. Frosh/Soph game begins at 4:00PM, JV at 5:30PM and Varsity follows at 7PM.
FROSH/SOPH & JV ONLY are excused from class at 1:45PM, bus will depart FHS at 2PM.
2. WRESTLING - AWAY @ NORDHOFF. Weigh-Ins begin at 4:30PM, Wrestling begins at 5:30PM.
3. BOYS GOLF – Mandatory golf meeting on WEDNESDAY 1.19 at lunch in Rm. 31 (Arts Building) for those interested in playing golf.
CLUBS:
1. Anime Club meeting Thursday in the Art Room (34) at lunch. New members welcome
SENIORS:
1. The senior class picture will be taken in the gym on Monday, January 24th at noon. All seniors need to wear their senior t-shirts and be on
time for the picture. Also, any student who makes an inappropriate gesture in the picture will be charged to have the picture corrected.
2. We want to get our sweatshirts done ASAP. Please turn in any ideas for designs to Ms. Schieferle or Lynn Cole in the Student Store.
3. GRAD NITE LIVE – It’s time for the Central Station fundraiser.

FRESHMEN:
1. We need a new class senator. If you are interested, please pick up an application in the Student Store. Applications are due on Friday,
1/14. Don’t procrastinate!
STUDENTS:
1. WINTER FORMAL January 15th at the Memorial Building from 8 - midnight! Tickets on sale at break, lunch and after school
in the Student Store. Tickets - $35/Single & $60/Couple. The theme is Do You Believe in Magic?
2. Night School will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday after school at 3:15. Please be on time. Juniors and Seniors - if
you failed a class please see your counselor immediately.
3. EXTRA CREDIT/MAKE-UP RUNS – Every Wednesday. Report to the track by 3:25.
4. The Pep Squad will be hosting a showcase on January 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. Tickets will be sold for $5. Come support
the pep squad. Everyone is welcome. This is an opportunity to watch their competition routine.
5. Lions Club Speaker contest – February 7, 2011. LAST CHANCE TO ENTER! This year’s topic is Enforcing Our Borders: State
vs. Federal Rights. Fillmore winner gets $75 with a chance to win over $21,000. To enter see Mr. Overton in the drama room or call Bill
Edmonds at 524-4839.
6. BEAUTIFICATION DAY – is on the 22nd of January from 8 a.m. – 12 noon. Come help and assemble tables and clean the school to earn
community service hours. This open to the public, so invite your friends and family. Pizza will be served!
STUDENTS & STAFF:
1. Totally Rad! The upcoming production between FHS Drama and Sespe Players will be having auditions IN the Drama Room on January 12
– 14 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Come and audition if you want to be in the musical! TOTALLY RAD!!!
2. Come to Rm. 4 before school and at break for yummy hot chocolate!
