PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: January 25, 1961 - President John F. Kennedy held the first presidential news conference carried live on radio and
television.
LUNCH: Beef and cheese taco, Spanish rice, lettuce & tomato, fruit.
ATHLETICS:
1. GIRLS SOCCER - HOME w/CARPINTERIA. JV game begins at 4:30PM, Varsity follows at 6PM.
2. GIRLS BASKETBALL - AWAY @ ST. BONAVENTURE. JV game begins at 5:30PM, Varsity follows at 7PM.
3. PHYSICALS FOR SPRING SPORTS (swim, track, baseball, softball, boys volleyball and boys golf) will be given at the Fillmore
Medical Clinic on the following dates: FOR GIRLS - Tuesday, January 25th from 3:30-4:00PM / FOR BOYS - Tuesday, February
1st from 3:30-4:00PM Please see Lynn in the Student Store for an Athletic Packet prior to going for your physical.
4. STUDENT STORE - The Student Store will be CLOSED during break today.

1. Prayer Club meets today at lunch in room 2. Come join us!

3. MECHA CLUB – meeting TODAY at lunch in Mrs. Juarez’s room.
4. Dead Poets Club – meeting Wednesday at lunch in the drama room to discuss Art Show project.
5. Anime Club meeting on Thursday at lunch in the Art room (34)
6. MENTOR PROGRAM: Mtn. Vista mentoring after school. Meet in Rm 17 by 3:15pm.
SENIORS:
1. T.A.’s - You must return your TA contracts to Mrs. Green right away, or you can not be added to the roll and receive credit.
2. GRAD NITE LIVE – Tickets for the Central Station Fundraiser are available from Jaci Avila in the Attendance Office.

• FILLMORE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION – applications are available from Isela Larin in the College and Career Center. They are to be
returned to the alumni office by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25th. Mark Ortega will be here sometime this month to discuss the
scholarships with seniors. Watch for more news in the bulletin.

JUNIORS & SENIORS: "City of Color" is this year’s awesome prom theme. This year’s amazing prom will be held on May 14 at the fantastic
Museum of Ventura County! Get ready prom season is here.
STUDENTS:
1. 7ththru12th graders are now required to get a whooping cough shot before starting the 2011-2012 school year. Call your doctor
today & make an appointment to get your required vaccines ASAP.
2. Students in Child Development, please check out your books in the library. (They are not in Mrs. Ashim’s office.)
3. The Freshmen class is selling Valentine bracelets for $1.00. Buy one for your sweetheart or even for yourself. Sales will be going on
January 21 – February 14. Supplies are limited. Get yours today!
4. A C. R. E. W. representative will be in the quad during lunch on Wednesday. She will have applications and will answer questions regarding
the CREW. The CREW offers environmental youth employment and leadership training.
5. EXTRA CREDIT/MAKE-UP RUNS – Every Wednesday. Report to the track by 3:25.
6. FOUND – An IPOD was found at San Cayetano School last week. If it is yours, please contact the school’s office (524-8142) to identify and
claim.
7. FOUND – girls ring with stone found in the library. Identify and claim from Mrs. Ramirez or Ms. Hoffman.
