PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: December 12, 1787 - Pennsylvania became the second state to ratify the U.S. Constitution.

LUNCH : Deli Sandwich, potato chips, lettuce/tomato

ATHLETICS:
1. JV & VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT - HOME See Coach Sebek and Coach Blakenship for game times.
2. BOYS SOCCER - AWAY @ San Marcos. Frosh and JV Games begin at 3:15PM. Varsity begins at 5PM. Boys Soccer is excused from class at 12:45PM and will depart FHS at 1PM.
CLUBS:
1. Poetry Club – meeting Friday at lunch in Rm. 18.
2. Mentor Program: Officers’ meeting this Fri. Rm. 10 at lunch. You will be planning Holiday Party!
3. Prayer Club will meet on Monday next week, not Wednesday. We will be practicing songs for Christmas caroling. All are welcome to join us.
4. MESA is back! Come to our first meeting of the year on Tues., Dec. 16th at 12:30 in Rm. 22 (Mr. Waddell). Projects & fun! All are welcome!
SENIORS:
1. 2nd order of senior class T-shirts are in. See Janice in the Health Office. If you still owe pay Lynn in the student store and bring the receipt to the health office.

STUDENTS:
1. STUDENTS TAKING PASS CLASSES AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL - THE LAST SATURDAY CLASS WILL BE SATURDAY DEC. 20th. The next PASS class will begin on January 10th.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION – Every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:15-4:15 in Rm. 49
3. Come audition for FHS’s next big show, “Trouble in Dustville”. Lots of parts available for this melodrama, so come to the drama room on Dec. 18 & 19 from 1-3 p.m. No experience? No Problem? We need LOTS of people. Questions? See Mr. Overton.
4. Are you interested in the outdoors, meeting new people, and traveling?? Come to a presentation by the Montana Yellowstone Experience at lunch in Rm. 49 on Friday! Snacks provided! Everyone's welcome.
5. Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors – class t-shirts are on sale now for $12. All orders must be turned in by Dec. 19th. Show your class spirit and buy one!
6. The Art Club is selling Holiday Grams & Teddy Bears during lunch in the quad Wed. – Fri. or from Mrs. M in Rm. 34. $5.00 for Teddy Bear & Card.
JUNIORS:
1. The Discover Scholarship is available to students who have a 2.75 GPA or better, plan to continue their education after high school, demonstrate accomplishments in community service and faced a significant roadblock or challenge. Students must also be U.S. citizens or legal residents. You must apply online. For complete details, go to www.discoverfinancial.com/community or see Mrs. Larin in the College and Career Center. Deadline is January 31st.

1. The district office has asked us to remind you that we only have a 2 week break during the Winter Holiday. Please remind your parents that we expect you all to stay in school until the final day – December 19th. Thank you. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT NOT ONLY ARE YOU EXPECTED TO STAY UNTIL DEC. 19th, BUT IF YOU LEAVE BEFORE THAT DATE YOU RISK LOSING ALL OF YOUR CREDITS & FAILING ALL OF YOUR CLASSES!
