ATHLETICS:
1. JV FOOTBALL PLAYERS - The following players need to return their football gear to Coach Dann: Jesus Alvarado, Joe Barragan, Joseph Castenada, Daniel Cruz, Josh Frias, Gilbert Medina, Vince Meraz, Brandon Nelson, Joe Reyes, Jonathan Sandoval
2. WRESTLERS - Just a reminder that in addition to paying your $85.00 participation fee, each wrestler will also need to pay an additional $10.00 for your hydration test.

CLUBS:
1. FASHION CLUB – meeting Wednesday. Come and join the fun! Girls, if you have any dresses that you would like to donate to the Fashion Club, it will go to a great cause!
2. ART CLUB – meeting Tuesday at lunch in Rm. 34.

SENIORS:
1. It’s coming down to UC/CSU application crunch time! If you need help with your college applications after school, Mrs. Palacio has extended her hours until 7:00 p.m.
2. SENIORS & STAFF: Please release all seniors at 9:45 on Tuesday 11/25/08 to report to the cafeteria to meet with Jostens regarding Graduation announcements, cap and gowns.
Scholarships:
1. The AXA Achievement Community Scholarship is available to students who are U.S citizens or legal residents, plan to enroll full time in an accredited two year of four year college and university. Students must also demonstrate ambition and self-drive. You must be recommended by an unrelated adult. For complete details, see Mrs. Larin or go to www.axa-achievement.com. Deadline is Dec 15th.
2. The CAASFEP is offering a scholarship to students who plan to enroll in an accredited college or university. One scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to pursue a career in education. The other scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to pursue a career in any field. Students must demonstrate a commitment to school, academics and community activities. Students must also have a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. For complete details see Mrs. Larin. Deadline is December 15th
3. Soroptimist International of the Americas is offering the “Violet Richardson Award” For complete details or an application, see Mrs. Larin in the College and Career Center. Deadline is December 1st.
4. SAE Engineering is offering a scholarship to students who intend to enroll in an engineering program accredited by ABET. For complete details, see Mrs. Larin in the College and Career Center or go to www.sae.org/students/unscholr.htm. Deadline is December 1st.

Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores:
1. If you are behind in credits – Go to Room 54 and start or finish a Nova Net course. It is here today, but gone in one month. If you have not seen your counselor, please see Mr. Arguelles or Mrs. Ashim immediately. Nova Net is Monday – Thursday from 3:10 until 5:30 in Room 54.

STUDENTS:
1. ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION – Every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:15-4:15 in Rm. 49
2. Please consider the due date for Film Festival scripts. The due date is Dec. 1st. See Mr. Overton with any questions.
3. Ventura College will be in the College and Career Center on December 4th and December 11th during lunch to sign up students who are interested in taking college classes in the spring.
4. Students: Read the Fillmore High School 2008-2009 Discipline Code. Not knowing the discipline code is not an acceptable excuse. You must read and know the code. Gang Related Offenses = 1) flashing gang signs, 2) yelling gang names/slogans, 3) gang graffiti on books/notebooks or other possessions, 4) exposing gang related tattoos. First offense is a 3-day suspension & notification of parents. Second offense is a 5-day suspension & notification of proper authorities. STAFF:
1. Staff pictures – Make-up pictures will be taken on Tuesday, November 25th from 7:30 am – 1:00 p.m. in Rm. 49. You can either come in before school, during your prep or at lunch to have your picture taken.
