PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: December 9, 1941 - China declared war against Japan, Germany, and Italy.

LUNCH : Chili beans, cornbread muffin, coleslaw.

ATHLETICS:
1. SWIM TEAM: Mandatory meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11th in Room 49 at lunch time. Bring any completed paperwork. If you are interested in participating on the swim team, please be sure to attend.
CLUBS:
1. ATTENTION UC AMBASSADORS - meeting Tuesday (12/9) at lunch in room 61 to discuss upcoming events (for community service hours!) including: After School Tutoring, partnering with MESA, and A-G Workshops.
2. MECHA CLUB – lunch meeting Tuesday & Thursday.
3. PRAYER CLUB meets Wednesday at lunch in Rm. 2. All are welcome.
4. Poetry Club – meeting Friday at lunch in Rm. 18.
5. ART CLUB – Don’t forget the Holiday party TODAY at lunch. Bring your exchange gift.
6. ANIME CLUB – meeting on Thursday at lunch in Rm. 34.

STUDENTS:
1. Are you interesting in taking College Classes this spring? Don’t wait until the last minute. Sign up to see your counselor now! A representative from Ventura College will be in the College and Career Center on Thursday, December 11th.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION – Every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:15-4:15 in Rm. 49
3. Enter the Lions’ Club speech contest and win $50 with a chance to win $21,250. Top is “Water – Will California Be Left High and Dry?” Open to all students. To enter see Mr. Overton or call Bill Edmonds – 524-4839.
4. If you are interested in taking Mr. Richter’s landscaping class next semester? See your counselor ASAP

6. Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors – class t-shirts are on sale now for $12. All orders must be turned in by Dec. 19th. Show your class spirit and buy one!
7. The Art Club is selling Holiday Grams & Teddy Bears during lunch in the quad Wed. – Fri. or from Mrs. M in Rm. 34. $5.00 for Teddy Bear & Card.

STUDENTS & STAFF:
1. "Little Paws" is a dog rescue in Fillmore. They pay more than $1,200.00 a month to feed over 90 lost and abandoned dogs. Please "Pitch in for Pets." Donate in your 3rd period class and in room 19. Thank you. Chris Fernandez
2. The Annual Canned Food Drive has begun. Start collecting cans, and bring them to your 2nd period class. 1st & 2nd place classes earn a Wood Ranch lunch, and 3rd place class will get El Pescador burritos.

STUDENTS & PARENTS:
1. The district office has asked us to remind you that we only have a 2 week break during the Winter Holiday. Please remind your parents that we expect you all to stay in school until the final day – December 19th. Thank you.
