PATRIOTIC OBSERVANCE: June 3, 1965 - Maj. Edward White became the first U.S. astronaut to walk in space, during the Gemini 4 mission.

ATHLETICS:
1. ALL SPORTS TEAMS – team photos are ready for pickup at KSSP Studios.
STUDENTS:
1. YEARBOOKS – purchase one in the Student Store. Take receipt to Mrs. Green to pick up book.
2. Fillmore High School will be offering a CAHSEE Language Arts Class, CAHSEE Math Class, a Credit Recovery Class, and a Migrant PASS
Program Class during the summer. These classes will run from June 9th until July 2nd and will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 11:25 a.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided at San Cayetano School. Buses will transport student home from San Cayetano School at 12:10 p.m.
Students enrolled in the CAHSEE classes will be able to take the CAHSEE exam during the third week of July. Please turn in your Notice of
Summer School letter to Mr. Torres or Ms. Green.
3. There are 5 summer school student tutor positions available for 10th or 11th grade students. You may earn 5 TA credits. If you are interested,
see Mrs. Green.
4. Art Club is selling autograph books for $5. See any art club member or come to room 34 to buy one.
5. PROM PICTURES are ready for pick up at KSSP Photography.
6. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR LOCKERS ARE CLEANED OUT BY THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL – PE and Hall Lockers.
Anything left in the lockers will be thrown away.
7. Ventura College East Campus is holding its 4th Annual Summer Bridge Program for students in the classes of 2010 and 2011.
This free program is from July 6 - 9 and includes trips to six colleges, including CLU, UCSB and CSUN. There are only 10 spots
available for FHS students. See Ms. Norma for an application. Completed applications are due back by this Thursday at noon.
8. Want to learn more about starting your own business and how to be successful at it? The Ventura County Small Business Development Center
is putting on its 2nd annual Youth Business and Leadership Academy July 13, 14 and 15 at Ventura College East Campus in Santa Paula. The
academy will focus on business strategy, marketing and leadership skills. These interactive sessions will be taught by real entrepreneurs and
business consultants with guest speakers who are successful business people within our local community. For a registration packet see Ms.
Norma ASAP.
TEACHERS:
1. TRASH DUMPTERS – Trash dumpsters are available (Science and Arts Buildings and West Wing) for disposal of extra classroom trash.
Please have students carry the trash to the dumpsters rather than setting the trash by the doors. Thank you………..from the custodial
staff!
2. Club & Class Advisors – A copy of the 2009-10 Club and Class Advisor packet has been put in your box. Please look over and complete as
soon as possible. If you are a club or class advisor and didn’t receive one, please let Mrs. Green know.
