Francis (Frank) H. Dray, born December 19th, 1920 at Eltham, London, England, died peacefully at home with family present on August 20th, 2010.
Frank served with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers during World War II. His unit was shipped to France on D-Day 4; and he received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Norwegian Government for contributing to the Liberation of Norway.
Frank married Kathleen July 9th, 1943. In 1970 they came to California to be with their daughter and her family. Moving to Fillmore after Frank retired in 1989.
Always an Englishman Frank and Kathleen would return to England often. He was a man of high morals and integrity, always ready to help a neighbor or friend. An energetic person Frank enjoyed playing the accordion and camping. He was known for his witty sense of humor.
Frank is survived by his wife of 67 years, his daughter Susan Banks, grandchildren Dray, Taurie and Davin, and great grandson Sabian Banks Howard.
