2 Arrested for DUI & Concealed Weapons

On Thursday, April 25th, at 4:21pm, a VC Sheriff’s deputy conducted an enforcement stop on a motorcycle for a minor traffic violation in the area of Ventura Street and Saratoga Street. As the motorcycle yielded, the male driver discarded what appeared to be a firearm into some nearby bushes. The driver and female passenger were both detained pending investigation; deputies searched the area and found a pellet gun. Based on the investigation, the male was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of an imitation firearm in public. The female passenger was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.
