On the 4th of July, 2023, Fillmore Sheriff's Deputies issued seven citations for possession of illegal fireworks, in violation of 15.39.010 FMC. These violations all have an administrative penalty of $1,000 each. The fees associated with these citations are handled by Fillmore city staff. The citation received is an Administrative Citation. Constituents who are issued one receive a letter from Data Ticket, who is the city's third-party vendor who handles the citation notices.
