On Wednesday, March 20, at 4:58 a.m., Ventura County Fire Department and Fillmore City Fire were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue. Arriving firefighters located two larger boats fully engulfed, located in a backyard residence. According to VCFD radio traffic there were reports of a burn victim which later declined any medical treatment. Firefighters were able to get knockdown on fire within 30 minutes after being dispatched. An arson investigator from Ventura County Fire Department was also dispatched.
