On Thursday, June 20, at 11:38 a.m., the Ventura County Fire Department and surrounding fire stations responded to a boat fire in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue. Arriving firefighters discovered a boat on fire, as well as dry grass blazing in the next-door backyard property. Firefighters on the scene extinguished the fire in minutes.
