Brush Fire Stopped in Piru
On Wednesday, September 22nd, at 11:57am, Ventura County Fire was dispatched to a small brush fire in the 2400 block of Center Street, Piru. Upon arrival fire crews (ME28) reported several trees on fire by an apartment complex with a light wind blowing towards the residential area. Ventura County Sheriffs were also on scene, and VCFD-VCSO Copter was in the air but was cancelled by ground units as the fire was controlled. There was no threat to the surrounding community.
