Crash Sends Car Into Ditch

On Monday, February 6, at 3:30 p.m., the Ventura County Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on SR23 at the Rock Quarry. Arriving CHP officer reported a vehicle blocking the southbound lane and a second vehicle down the embankment on the southbound side. Both lanes of SR23 were shut down for about 30 minutes, causing traffic to back up in both directions until the tow arrived to clear the scene.
