On Monday, February 13, at 9:58pm, the California Highway Patrol, Ventura County Fire, and Ventura County Sheriff's Department were on the scene of communication wires down on SR-126 & Howe Road, Piru. Arriving firefighters reported downed communication wires (Spectrum) hanging in between westbound and eastbound SR-126 , with officers shutting one lane in both directions. VC fire crews investigated the downed cables; it is unknown what caused the wires to collapse, no traffic collision took place. SR-126 was reopened before 11:30pm.
