Drowning at Lake Piru
On Saturday, July 13th, at 4:08 p.m., Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Ventura County Fire Department, and AMR Paramedics responded to a report of a drowning at Lake Piru. Arriving deputies were informed that a man swimming in the lake experienced a medical emergency and was having difficulty swimming; the victim was seen submerged in the water. The man, believed to be in his 50s or older, was rescued from the water, and life-saving efforts were performed.
