On July 12th, 2022, at 6:24pm California Highway Patrol, Ventura County Fire, AMR Paramedics, and Ventura County Sheriff ’s Department were dispatched to a reported traffic collision in the area of Chambersburg Road and West Guiberson Road near Fillmore. Arriving Firefighters reported a single vehicle that had crashed into the concrete bridge of a ditch, on-scene paramedics advised one occupant was declared deceased, later determined to be Larry Cassidy of Fillmore. Fillmore Police Patrol Services were on scene assisting with traffic control. At 6:40pm, CHP had requested Ventura Coroner. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
