Friday, June 6, at 2:15 a fire swept through a private residence in the 500 block of Via Fustero, Piru. The blaze started in a back bedroom, cause unknown. Five animals are reported to have perished in the fire. Five adults have been displaced from the home. The fire is under investigation.
