Fireworks Injury Sends One to Hospital
On Thursday, July 4th, at 10:50 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad, and AMR Paramedics responded to a reported fireworks injury in the 100 block of Surrey Way. Arriving firefighters found a male subject with a minor injury to the hand, on scene paramedics treated the subject at the scene and was transported to a local hospital and was arrested for possession for Illegal fireworks. A second female subject suffered major injury to the hand, the subject was not cited nor any enforcement has been taken on her but deputies are serving her within the ministrator citation. While firefighters were on scene the female subject boyfriend started assaulting Fillmore Fire and Sheriff personal.
