Head-On Sends 2 to Hospital

On Thursday, December 21, at 6:48 a.m., Ventura County Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a reported head-on collision westbound SR126 at Cavin Road, near Piru. Arriving firefighters found two vehicles involved, one on the center divider and the second on the right-hand shoulder hillside. Two patients were transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries to both patients. Westbound lanes were shut down for at least 45 minutes until the scene was cleared.
