Fillmore, it is time to help one of our own and serve a great cause at the same time! Fillmore's own Hermanos Herrera will be playing at the Sespe Auditorium, 627 Sespe Avenue, on Sunday, November 18th at 2pm to help out Fillmore High School English and Drama teacher Josh Overton. Overton has been in a battle with cancer since August of this year. All proceeds will go to Team Overton for The Relay for Life.

Hermanos Herrera is made up of five brothers; Jorge, Luis, Miguel, Juan, Jose, and little sister Rebeca Herrera. They all went to Fillmore High School and were top student athletes. They then all went on to great things at U.C.L.A.

Hermanos Herrera have appeared in the U.S.A. and Mexico. They have appeared on Television National and International programs. They have also shared the stage with such great Superstars Linda Ronstadt, Los Lobos, and Jose Feliciano, and many many more great acts.

Hermanos Herrera plan on releasing a new Norteno album this month. This will flood the radio air waves very soon. Hermanos Herrera have had sell-out concerts all over the U.S.A. and Mexico and charge $40 to $50 per show. With caring and concern for Fillmore and Overton, the Hermanos Herrera will donate their talents on November 18th.

Team Overton is also selling "Team Overton" T-Shirts. With the kindness of Team Gear Up, the T-Shirts can be ordered at the Student Store, Fillmore High School. You can stop by or call for information at 805-524-8491 and talk to Lynn Cole between 8am and 4pm, Monday thru Friday. T-Shirts are $10. Tickets for the Hermanos Herrera Benefit Concert can also be pick up at the Student Store or will be sold by Drama and Band students from FHS. Tickets are only $10.

Chuy Ortiz, owner of El Pescador on Highway 126 will donate his famous Burritos at the Concert for the fundraiser. Team Overton will charge only $5.00 for bean and cheese Burritos, and $6.00 for meat Burritos, soda $2. Thanks to you and all the wonderful people at El Pescador in Fillmore.

Awesome Music with Hermanos Herrera, great looking T-Shirts by Team Gear Up, and the best food that the County of Ventura has to offer, El Pescador. And the most important thing -- you will be helping out a great man and teacher, Mr. Josh Overton and Team Overton for the Relay for Life! It will all happen on Inger's birthday, Josh’s wife.
