Structure Fire Engulfs Home

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:48 p.m., Fillmore Fire Department, Ventura County Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and Fillmore Police Department responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Central Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find a garage completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire with the help of nearby fire departments. A burned-out vehicle was also discovered in the garage. Fillmore Fire Chief Gurrola reported that the fire was completely extinguished by 5:00 p.m. Fillmore Deputies closed a portion of Central Avenue; no injuries were reported, and a Fillmore Fire investigator was dispatched.
