Subject Flees Fillmore Unit During Traffic Stop

On Monday, May 29, at 11:14pm, a Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy from the Fillmore Patrol Services made a traffic stop on westbound Highway 126 at the 10th Street overpass, Santa Paula. Within minutes the deputy advised the driver fled the scene and was last seen running northbound on the 10th Street. Additional Fillmore units, along with Santa Paula Police Department, searched nearby neighborhoods. An on-scene deputy located a 9mm round in the vehicle and it was towed away.
