On June 5, 2026, at approximately 1115 hours, Camarillo Patrol Deputies responded to shots heard in the area of 2700 Barry Street in the City of Camarillo. Upon arrival, deputies quickly located discharged firearm casings in the roadway. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any people struck by gunfire. Based on the severity of the crime, the Camarillo Special Enforcement (SEU) and Directed Enforcement (DEU) Units responded to assist with the investigation. |

![]() On Sunday, August 30, at approximately 10:41 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics responded to a reported traffic collision in the 400 block of Chambersburg Road. Deputies arrived and located a gray Ram pickup truck that had gone off the roadway and into a ditch. The driver was evaluated at the scene and declined medical treatment. Deputies learned that the driver had been leaving a rodeo/concert event taking place across the street from the collision location. The California Highway Patrol responded and took over the investigation. At this time, it is unknown whether the driver was arrested for DUI. Photo credit Angel Esquivel. On Saturday, August 29, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a reported fire in the 1400 block of Goodenough Road. Arriving firefighters located a 15‑by‑15-foot spot fire with a slow rate of spread. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, preventing further growth. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Firefighters arrived and located two vehicles involved, including one with significant front-end damage. On Saturday, August 22, at 9:42 p.m., the Fillmore Police Department, Fillmore City Fire, and AMR Paramedics were dispatched to a reported two‑vehicle accident at the intersection of Ventura Street and C Street. Arriving firefighters located a white vehicle with moderate damage and a white van with minor damage. Minor injuries were reported. |
