George R Gonzalez Jr. (April 1957 – February 2025)

George R Gonzalez Jr was born April 16, 1957, in Santa Paula, California, to George Raul Gonzalez and Tomasa Adame Gonzalez. He grew up and attended schools in Fillmore, California, graduating in 1976. He also attended college receiving his associates degree. George served in the US Army and earned the rank of Sargent. He was a very proud military man who was a part of the Iron Knights US Army. He dearly loved his fellow brothers and sisters. He served in Germany and fell in love with the country.

He was blessed with two children, Jayme and Brian. George grew up at Rancho Sespe in Fillmore CA and has the best memories growing up there. George then made his home in Rigby in 2006. George had many different businesses in his life, he was never afraid to try. Feed store, hobby store, sports store, bird store, antique store, comic bookstore, gym. He very much enjoyed working with his dear friends at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls ID as well.

George loved hot rods and restoring old cars. He enjoyed fishing, coaching basketball and raising chickens. He loved to sit outside on his swing and relax. A lot of the time sitting with his fur grand-dog Luigi while his other fur grand-dog Daisy roamed around eating everything. George was famous among his family and friends for his 4th of July BBQ.

George was the type of person who lifted you up. He would help you in any way he could. Wherever he went and you came across him you would get a smile, and he would make sure you are doing ok. He always wanted to make someone feel special and make sure they knew he cared. He is loved by so many. His contagious smile, sense of humor and big heart will be deeply missed so much.
