Kyle Hollis (August 1972 - September 2024)

Kyle Cooper Hollis, born on August 21, 1972, in Santa Paula, California, to Marsha Fuqua Hollis and Edmond Hollis, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2024. He was a devoted husband to Brandy Hollis and embraced her three children: Jackson Green, Samuel Kafka, and Presley Simson, as his own. Kyle was a loving uncle to his nieces Ella, Emma, and Erin, and he cherished his little sister, Andrea Douras, whom he was immensely proud of. He is also survived by his brother, Denman Hollis, and sister-in-law, Angela Hollis. He loved growing up with all his cousins, especially Jason and Darren. A graduate of Santa Paula High School, Class of 1991, Kyle served in the Navy Reserves as a Seabee, where he developed his skills as a heavy equipment mechanic. He worked at Texaco in Santa Paula and later found fulfillment at Quality Ag, where he felt at home. Kyle married Brandy in 2012, and together they welcomed three children: Cooper, Rowdy, and Harlie. A dedicated family man, Kyle was known for singing his children to sleep and nurturing them with love. He was a faithful member of Faith Community Church, actively participating in men’s groups, marriage retreats, and planning a fundraiser car show on September 28th. Kyle adored his grandchildren, Noah and Selena, with a special fondness for Selena, the apple of his eye. Kyle’s passion for cars was evident in his cherished 1967 Chevelle, inherited from his father, which will be featured in the upcoming car show in his honor. He loved tinkering with things and watching his kids play sports, embodying the values of hard work, faith, and patriotism. Kyle will be missed immensely by his wife, children, siblings, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, and a community that will deeply feel his absence. A memorial service will be held at Faith Community Church on October 5th at 3 PM, followed by a reception at 1098 South Ventura Road. Attendees are encouraged to wear overalls, coveralls, or country attire, reflecting Kyle’s preference for comfort over formality. Kyle leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and faith.
